Showcase

In 2002 the World Freestyle Championship introduced a new section called SHOWCASE and the song was restricted to songs from the Rock'N'Roll era, this year there is no restriction on which song can be chosen.

This is an open section, meaning there is no age barrier form Junior to Senior. However the Junior (under 18) with the highest points, wheather they win the event or not, will be recognized with a Trophy for their efforts.

Apart from trophies there will be cash prizes for this event, recognized to the fourth place.

The DJ must be given a CD containing the required song by Saturday at the latest, this will allow the DJ to coordinate with the competitors program for Sunday.

Please note that each CD shall have the Competitiors name & the name of their chosen song on the cover to aid the DJ, as well as ensuring the correct CD is returned to the right couple.

Maximum couples in this section is 30

Maximum length of performance is 4 minutes

Couple can also design costumes where possible to enhance the choreograpgy of the song chosen, which will assist in your overall performance. The dress code state in the rules does not apply, (but no indecent attire will be allowed or tolerated). Body props ie:- hats, gloves & jackets are permitted but no floor props are allowed.

This year both the heats and finals will be held on Friday night.
